Voice Over #

How to Turn on Voice Over #
- Open the Settings App
- Tap on Accessibility > VoiceOver
- Turn VoiceOver On or Off
- Use the shortcut to turn VoiceOver on and off after turning it on the first time.
- Triple-click one of the following:
- The side button (on an iPhone with Face ID)
- The Home button (on other iPhone models)
- You can also use Siri or set up a Vocal Shortcut
- Triple-click one of the following:
How to Adjust Speaking Rate #
- Open the Settings App
- Tap on Accessibility > VoiceOver
- Use the slider to determine the Speaking Rate
How to change the primary voice #
- Open the Settings App
- Tap on Accessibility > VoiceOver
- Tap on Speech and the tap on Primary Voice
- From here you can change the voice, speaking rate, pitch and volume.
Display & Text Size #
You can set a preferred text size on your phone for all apps. There is a support article here. There are additional features to help you with making the app easier to use depending on your needs listed below.
General Font Size #
- Go to your Settings App
- Then tap on Display & Brightness
- Tap on Text Size
- Use the slider to adjust the font size
- Larger sizes are available in Accessibility
Other Font Features #
- Bold Text
- Make text bolder by toggling this on.
- Larger Text
- Make text bigger by dragging the slider to your preferred reading size.
- Toggle Larger Accessibility Sizes for additional text sizes.
- Button Shapes
- You can underline any text that performs an action when you tap it.
- Smart Invert
- Reverses the colors of the display, except for images, media, and some apps that use dark color styles.
- Classic Invert
- Reverses the colors of the display.
- Color Filters
- Color filters can be used to differentiate colors by users who are colorblind and aid users who have difficulty reading text on the display.
Language #
How to change the language on an iPhone.
Change the Language #
- Open the Settings app
- Tap on General and then scroll down to Language and Region.
- You can change the language by dragging and dropping the language you want to use to the top.
- You will get a message “Applying this setting will restart your iPhone.”
- If you click Continue – it will change your language and restart your phone.
- If you click Cancel – your current language setting will remain.
Add a Language #
- Open the Settings app
- Tap on General and then scroll down to Language and Region.
- Scroll down and tap Add Language…
- You can then search or scroll and tap on the language you would like to add.
- You will be asked “Would you like to use Chosen Language as your primary language?”
- You can either change your language or keep your current language.
- Either way – it will add it to your language list.
