Airports for Innovation (A4I) #
GoodMaps successfully completed the inaugural Airports for Innovation (A4I) program, winning the Seamless Travel Experience category in recognition of its inclusive indoor navigation for blind and low vision travelers. As part of this achievement, GoodMaps was selected by Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Athens (ATH), Rome Fiumicino (FCO), and Valencia (VLC) airports for real-world trials, showcasing its potential to improve passenger experience across leading global hubs.
Testing GoodMaps @ DFW
GoodMaps’ testing at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport validated its core navigation capabilities. Conducted with 11 blind and low vision travelers over summer 2025, the study revealed that the turn-by-turn routing feature proved highly effective, with participants consistently describing feelings of freedom and independence. The study confirmed that GoodMaps successfully delivers meaningful independence to blind and low vision travelers in real-world airport environments.
