There are a few ways to check into a GoodMaps mapped building!
Near a Building #
- If you are near a building that is mapped by GoodMaps you can open the app, it will show you a list of nearby buildings.
- If there are more than 3 buildings nearby – you will have the option to view more.
- If there are more than 3 buildings nearby- you can search for the name of the building in the search bar.
- Once you have found your building in the list – you can tap on the building name to check in!
- If you don’t see the building near you, you can also click Explore All Buildings to see other buildings GoodMaps has mapped.
- If you click on Explore All Buildings, then it will take you to the Explore All Buildings list.
- When you explore a building you may not be able to localize or start a route in the building.
- Camera positioning services will be off.
Not Near any Buildings #
- If you aren’t near any buildings – you will land on at page that notes “You don’t seem to be in or near any of our mapped buildings.”
- If you click on Explore All Buildings, then it will take you to the Explore All Buildings list.
- When you explore a building you may not be able to localize or start a route in the building.
- Camera positioning services will be off.
- If you click on “I am in or near a GoodMaps building”, then the GPS services will expand its search to see if you are close to a GoodMaps Building.
- If the GoodMaps app finds buildings in the expanded search – it will return the Nearby check in screen with a list of buildings.
Single Sign Into a Building #
- If you are inside the GoodMaps building – you will get a single sign in option.
- This option will ask you if you are inside the building!
- If you click “Yes, check me in” then you will be taken directly to that map.
