This article reviews the accessibility settings available for Android devices.

You can access Accessibility features on Android devices in Settings. You can find the steps in their support article at this link. They also have an article that goes through each setting at this link.
This article will go through and highlight some of the settings you may find useful – citing the Android documentation steps to help you along your way.

Display #
Font Size #
To make your font size smaller or larger:
- On your device, open the Settings app.
- Search and select Font size.
- To change your preferred font size, move the slider left or right.
Turn on dark theme #
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Select Accessibility.
- Under “Color and motion,” turn on Dark theme.
Turn on color inversion #
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Select Accessibility.
- Under “Color and motion,” select Color inversion.
- Turn on Use color inversion.
Color Correction/Grayscale #
Color correction and grayscale settings help your device compensate for color blindness.
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Tap Accessibility > Color and motion > Color correction.
- Turn Use color correction on.
- Choose a correction mode.
- Optional: To control the intensity of the color correction, adjust the slider. (This feature isn’t available on all devices.)
Language #
How to change your device language: #
- On your device, open the Settings app.
- Tap General Management.
- Tap Language.
- Tap Edit in the upper right corner.
- Drag and drop the language to the top of the list.
- Note: If the app doesn’t support the language you’ve selected, it will check the next language on your list.
- Then click the back button in the upper left corner to save your changes
How to add languages to your device #
- On your device, open the Settings app.
- Tap General Management.
- Tap Language.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap on + Add Language.
- You can then scroll or search for the language you want to add.
- After you tap on the language you may be asked to define by region
- Then it will ask if you want to Keep current or Set as default.
- If you tap Keep Current – your current language settings will stay in place.
- If you tap Set as default – it will change to the new language
Text to Speech (TalkBack) Languages #
Currently Android supports the following languages in TalkBack – check the list here.
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- Select Accessibility.
- Tap on TalkBack.
- Tap on Settings.
- And then tap on Text-to-speech.
- Tap on Language.
- Then you can select from the list of languages.
